Sara A. Turner has spent most of her legal career protecting her client’s rights in all courts in South Carolina. Sara founded her firm with the belief that no case is too big or too small, and every client’s situation should be handled with compassion and care. Her grit, organization, and ability to understand her client’s needs make her an outstanding advocate.
Sara has handled cases in Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, General Sessions, Family Court, Common Pleas, and Federal Court. She has made nearly 400 court appearances in her years practicing criminal defense. She has handled Minor in Possession tickets, Fake ID tickets, DUI’s, CDV’s, Drug charges ranging from Simple Possession to Trafficking, Assault charges ranging from Simple Assault to Murder, and Property Crime Offenses ranging from Shoplifting to Burglary.

In her experience with Family Law, Sara has guided her clients through simple and complex custody and divorce cases. She has also served as a Guardian ad Litem for several cases. Sara wrote an article published in Facts and Findings that detailed parental alienation, which has become a more prevalent issue in custody cases. Through her work fighting big insurance companies, Sara has successfully helped her clients facing personal injury suits.
Upon graduating from the College of Charleston in 2008 with a degree in Communications, Sara attended the Charleston School of Law and earned her J.D. in 2011. While attending the Charleston School of Law, she clerked at Bluestein, Johnson & Burke, LLC and Rosen, Rosen, & Hagood, LLC.
Upon being sworn into the South Carolina Bar, Sara worked as an associate attorney at a firm focusing on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. She continued that focus at McCoy & Stokes, LLC where she worked as an associate attorney from 2013 until 2018. Sara is a Past President of the Charleston Lawyers Club and is a member of the South Carolina Bar and Charleston County Bar. Sara grew up in Bluffton, South Carolina and has lived in Charleston since 2005.
